Bowmen of Petersfield is an archery club established since 1986,

currently there are around 40 members including the junior section.

The club meets at the Petersfield School, Cranford Road (off The
Causeway), where we have the use of the school field from April to
September. and the sports hall from September to March. In the
outdoor season we shoot on Wednesday and Friday evenings from
6pm until dusk, and Sunday mornings from 9.30am until around 1pm.
In thewinter months we shoot in the hall on Tuesday evenings from
7pm until 9.30pm and Sunday morning from 11am until 1pm.

All styles, except crossbow, are catered for i.e Recurve,
Compound and Long-Bow. There are a number of qualified coaches on hand to help with all levels of archer,
including 1 senior coach and 1 county coach (who is training to become a senior coach).

The club is affiliated to the sport's governing body, The Grand National Archerys Society (GNAS), under whose rules
we shoot and through whom we have insurance cover.

The club runs a number of beginners courses throughout the year. These are designed to give people the chance
to try the sport without the need to buy any equipment. Beginners are able to learn in a safe enviroment from well
  trained and experienced coaches.

Winter courses start in September on Tuesdays and October on Sundays. Summer courses start in May on
  Wednesdays.
